Matthew 7:20
“Therefore, you will fully know them by their fruits.” Amplified
As children of God we are supposed to question and look at who we are associating with. We should know who is for God and who is not. We should be looking at what the people we associate with are doing in their lives; this shows their fruit. What fruit do you see them bearing?
There are so many who have come in the name of Jesus, but He did not call them or send them. They are doing things for filthy lucre’s sake (Titus 1:11), and not caring about the fruit of the Spirit at all. But God says you shall know them (His true followers) by their fruit (Galatians 5:22 - 23); which is the result of what they doing with their lives.
Are they showing: love, joy, peace, faith, gentleness, meekness, goodness longsuffering and temperance,
or are the opposites abounding? We are to examine all fruit, ours included. Let us make sure we are living a life that is well-pleasing to Our Lord Jesus today. Be blessed.
